Stepping
at the compound of Moi University Main Campus, one will not pass without noticing
thewell-trimmed flowers all-round the corners, but have you ever once noticed
the unfinished structure in front of the admiration block?if so have you ever
stopped to ask yourself why it has never
been completed?

Well
this questions lingered through my mind and right away I sought out to find
answers, upon asking some personnel in the admiration block, it was confirmed
to me that it was initially meant to be a graduation square and the unfinished structure
would serve as the place where the invited
guests would be sited, this information in the first place made a lot of
question start streaming through my head again and I wanted to know why a very strategic
place like that wouldn’t serve asour graduation square?
The
answers I got from various people concerned was the same, first of all the
space would never be enough to accommodate the entire population usually witnessed
during such vital event and secondly is that the process was halted due to the
security of the university’s administration block, because with that event taking
place so close to the administration premises it would never guarantee the
safety of the vital documents inside the most important building in the
compound.

Truth
to that the answers were completely genuine but one can take that information
with the slightest pinch of salt, first of all there was a committee that sat
down to decide on its construction and they knew clearly the space required to
accommodate the huge crowd seen in graduation ceremonies and also they were
aware of the nose and mouth distance between it and the administration block,
so if some asked themselves such question why was the plan underway and knowing
in the end it would never live to its
expectation

This
way one ask him/herself many more question did someone fail to play his/her
role or even worse did someone pocket the money and came to public with space
and security reason, evidently there are some buildings in the compound that
have taken ages to be completed, say hostel M for example and hostel I which
has never even gone beyond its foundation for decades, can we attribute the
same obstacles for their slow construction process

Well
fair play to the concerned personnel the
university has in place a spacious ground a bit far from the admistration block
this way answers have been given to some question, but are their possibility of seeing half constructed building again in
the near future?
