THE COMMUNITY SHIELD THAT NEVER WAS

THE COMMUNITY SHIELD THAT NEVER WAS
Students of Moi university were treated to some shock of not being able to catch up with their most favourite league in the world last weekend due to failure of the huge screens in the students centre refusing   to connect to the signal even after what it seemed to be years waiting for it to be back, finally it was here and the big fanatics were again ready to cheer for their teams.
The English Premier league is among the most adored leagues in the world and when one asks majority of students in the compound about their weekend’s plans one of  their to-do things you will to definitely get as a response is “I will be watching the EPL”
The main reason was perceived to be technological reasons after the authority confirmed that it wasn’t an issue with subscribing because it had already been fully paid for, the war of the titans between the champion of FA cup and the EPL champions Arsenal and Manchester city respectively were meeting to settle their curtain raising debt as the norm, Both teams had done some strengthening during the summer and everyone was eagerly waiting for this mouth-watering clash.
After what it seemed as failure of the repair of the screens the students opted for plan B and that was only to rush to stage and catch up with the few available football hang outs  joints outside their, this time round they were not disappointed as the anticipated match was being aired minus any interruptions
90 minutes collapsed and as they say the best prepared ide has a higher a chance of winning and this time round it was the arsenal time famously known as the gunners time to have the last laugh as they eased their way passed Manchester city by three goals minus any response, all in all it was an enjoyable match and students could be seen In small groups discussing about the outcome of the match and the new signings.
But back to technological breakdown the responsible officials promised to address the issue and the students will not be have any interference while watching the matches in the English premier league which commences officially next weekend, big match have been lined up and if it goes on well moi university students will not have to dig to their pockets again to watch the matches at the stage but rather they would do so at the students centre or comfort of their rooms, up to their students remain optimist that all will go on well and minor disruptions will not be experienced in future.
